Welcome to Goldenes Fass

Hotel “Goldenes Fass” (German for “golden barrel”) is a family-run hotel with a long tradition of over 100 years. Our house was built in 1903 and is located close to the old part of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The first gates of the town wall are easily reached in a short walk of about 500 meters. We have a large private parking space for our guests (no fees) directly at the back of our hotel. It is even possible to rent one of our garages. For bikers and hikers who would like to leave their car at our hotel for a longer period of time while they are travelling, we also have payable long-term parking facilities.  

We are easily reached from the train station (about 350 meters) and from the motorway A7 exit “Rothenburg ob der Tauber”.

All our 23 rooms are non- smoking rooms. All of them are equipped with hairdryer, flat TV, room safe and fridge.

We serve a delicious breakfast-buffet in the morning. Please note that we do not have a restaurant which is open for lunch time or dinner. You can help yourself with cold drinks, tea or coffee in our hotel lobby next to the reception. Please feel free to stay and relax in our cosy lobby during the day and evening - it's the "living room" of our hotel.
